Barangay Siblot got its name from the Siblot dam constructed at the Ambayaoan River and was formerly called Sablot dam which in turn got its name from Siblot trees that were abound in the vicinity during the first quarter of the 19th century. Siblot is bounded by Poblacion East on the north; Cacabugaoan on the east , on the south by barangays Nining and San Jose; and on the west by Barangay San Roque . Its existence as a barangay came in the early 60’s by virtue of a municipal resolution . The people in this barangay , acknowledged the pioneers who came from Candon , Ilocos Sur and Sarrat , Ilocos Norte . They were led by Manuel Peralta, Fabian ,Gapasin , Mauricio Bautista Enrique Sabinay, Simeon Abuan and among others. Endowed with a total land araea of 244 hectares , it is now the residence of some 978 peace loving, and hardworking citizens of the town .
